4/365: Geek Charming (dir. Jeffrey Hornaday | 2011)
Would I watch this in a moviehouse? LOLOLOLOLOL
Uhm. Okay, I know, some of you might be judging me because I saw this movie. In my defense, I thought it was going to be good chees-y goodness like High School Musical.
Ah. Ha. Ha.
Kinilig ako ng konti, but in a bad AHAHAHA BAKKKIIITT way. To be fair, I kinda appreciate the approach they were going for. The style of filming, I mean. The story, not much, really.
3/365: Big Fish (dir. Tim Burton | 2004)
Would I watch this in a movie house? Yes. Given that it’s Tim Burton, I’d probably expect something quirky. Eccentric. And yeah, there were aspects of that. But it felt more toned down in this movie, which gave way to the story. And I loved the story. I’ve always loved magical realism and there is an element of that here.
Plus. My brother, of all people, recommended me this movie. My brother who doesn’t normally have opinions on movies. We watched it together and well, b’aaaaw, is all I can say.

3/365films: 50/50 (dir. Jonathan Levine | 2011)
Would I watch this in a movie house? Considering that the movie is only an hour and a half long, probably not but it is a movie I’d encourage people to watch.
I tend to get wary of Seth Rogen but yeah, truth be told, I liked him in this film. I liked his acting; he was the perfect combination of ass but loyal and well intentioned. I liked Anna Kendrick, am very glad she’s branching away from Twilight. I liked JGL but I’ve always sort of liked him ever since I saw 500 Days so. But I do believe that this is his favorite film of mine. If it ends up winning in the Golden Globes for Best Picture in the Comedy/Musical category, yeah, I can roll with that too.
I cried in this film but ha, cancer’s always been an issue for me, so that’s probably not surprising. But the first sniffle didn’t occur until an hour-ish into the movie, when Adam (JGL) has a talk with his mom. Also, those scenes from when he freaks out at Kyle (Seth Rogen) until he drops him off at home. And when he was about to get operated. Adam, for me, was the kind of guy I didn’t want to die because, man, he was just beginning to figure himself out.
Yeah. Definitely a movie worth watching.
2/365films: X-Men: First Class (dir. Matthew Vaughn | 2011)
(I gave up on uploading this with a poster cause it’s taking too long and I gotta get off the laptop)
Would I have paid to see it in the movie theater? Yeah.
There have been people who’ve told me not to bother with this cause it strays from canon. Eh, I haven’t really read anything from X-Men so what the hell. It was cool; I liked it enough. I now understand all these grooviness and whatnot. My personal highlights were:
- Kevin Bacon being in the movie
- James McAvoy’s accent (his voice should star in a movie or a show or anything)
- Love, Love is part of the soundtrack

1/365films: Tangled (2010 | dir. Nathan Greno, Byron Howard)
In a few words: I’m glad I didn’t watch it in a movie house.
